Another week down, another comic up. No real news to report at the moment and any minute now my buffalo chicken should be ready to eat (love that spicy sauce). Take care and I’ll be back in another week!

Okay, done with the chicken and I just thought of something else. On a somewhat serious note, I got pitched an offer this week to get involved in a “network marketing” business opportunity. For those who don’t know, “network marketing” is basically a semi-legal version of a pyramid scheme. I’ll let you google up more detail if you want it but the bottom line is that if someone tries to hook you up with this you should run away very fast. I’m no lover of the corporate world (obviously) and it would be great if I could live independently but “network marketing” is not the way to go. The really sad part? Twice now I have been hit up for this by people I actually like and I don’t think either of them realize what they’ve gotten into. I’ve tried to talk about it but…well, sometimes people just WANT to believe, you know?

Anyway, enough of that. Stay safe everyone, I want to see you back here next week!!

…Aaaaand at long last we meet her! It only took a month and a half but Meghan has arrived! Our namesake heroine is finally in the comic named for her! Isn’t that exciting? I feel like I should use even more exclamation points than I already am!!!  Woo!!

We’ve got about three more pages to go in our introductory episode and then we switch gears a little and move towards a bit more action. I hope everyone enjoys meeting Meghan, I know I really enjoy writing her. Stay safe and I’ll talk at you next week.

I really hope that’s a croissant Phil is eating in panel 2….

I made a couple of very minor changes to the site this week. The collection title in the Archives is now titled Episode One rather than Chapter One (cue the Star Wars jokes). I also made a change to how the site is described in the About section. It occurred to me that a reader might wonder why a series about Kung Fu Meghan has yet to show Meghan (she’ll get here Page 8) and so I tried to write a new summary that won’t give any plot details away but also explains the format I’m trying to work out. Using the title Chapter One seemed a little pretentious, as if I’m writing the next great graphic novel but it’s not just a gag-a-day comic strip either. If anyone reading has any thoughts on the subject I’d love to hear them, just drop me a line.

Anyway, that’s enough for now, I’ve caught another cold and feel horrible. I should probably go into detail though, that seems to be blogger gold. Or maybe I could tweet it! Yeah, that’s the ticket! Soon I’ll have as many followers as that one Kardshian (17.4 million according to a headline on Yahoo News today. WTF, people.)

Not much to report this week.  Finally got a little bit of traffic after posting the comic on the Webcomic List. I’ve got a few social media additions in the works which will hopefully also bring some new eyes to the site but it’s hard to stand out on the interwebs. Anyway, need to get back to work on another couple pages.

It’s official now (more or less): Kung Fu Meghan is a go!  I’ve got the site hammered into a semi-acceptable form, pushed out to the search engines and will be updating regularly from here on out. There is still a ton of work to do but it’s satisfying to see the progress and know that this project is finally coming to fruition. So how did I celebrate? I spent the afternoon shoveling wet snow and my evening getting sick.  Never let it be said that I don’t know how to party.

Not that anyone is actually reading this right now, but I’m still working through the details of creating this whole website thingy. Hopefully, page 4 will be the start of regular updates and putting the site out to the world.
