No real news this week, I’m afraid. I’ve been so fabulously unproductive this week that sloth is starting to look like a virtue by comparison. Yet despite this grotesque lack of any real activity, I’ve somehow managed to pull a muscle in my back.
There’s no moral to that anecdote, I just wanted to complain.
Take care and I’ll see you here next week!
Ugh. Probably was not the best idea to post on Facebook about all the work I was going to get done this weekend as I haven’t done squat. At least the chronology issue in the archives has been apparently fixed but please send me notice if you catch any dead links.
I did manage to watch all of season 5 of Sons of Anarchy. I’m always behind on TV shows since I wait until they come out on DVD to watch them (next up: seasons 3 of Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead). SOA is probably my favorite show out there and has got to be one of the most consistently well-written shows in the history of television. If I could write half as well as Kurt Sutter then Kung Fu Meghan would be mighty fine indeed.
Alright, it’s 7:00am on a holiday so I’m posting this and going back to bed. Take care and enjoy the day (if you don’t have to work, sympathies if you do) and I’ll see you next week!
And so the deadliest Kung Fu style is revealed! At least, according to Mu Fanchu. The reader will be forgiven for harboring some skepticism on this point.
Comic is up late as I was busy wrestling with my crippling self-doubt. After getting my new monitor last week I was somewhat horrified to discover that what looked great on my crusty old CRT is shocking awful on a modern LED screen. I’d had a problem from the start finding the best way to prep my images so they looked good on the web and none of the book instructions I’d seen really worked. Now I find out my “solution” wasn’t a solution and I need to redo all of my pages.
It’s been a grim week.
At any rate, for anyone who has been enduring the garbage I post every week I thank you (yes, both of you). The site should look much better going forward. Stay safe and I’ll see you next week.
Ooooh, cliffhanger! What is the deadliest kung fu style? We find out next week. Unless we don’t.
Got a new monitor this week which was an ordeal all out of proportion to the level of quality upgrade I received. I keep thinking I should open up a separate blog to gripe about these issues but I really doubt anyone would be interested (and the internet doesn’t need another self-absorbed weirdo typing his every thought as if he thinks he’s channeling Socrates). Please note, however, that I am not ruling out a blog filled with obsessively pathological narcissism just maybe not at the moment. Time will tell etc.
Stay safe and I’ll be back to rant next week!
Pages 13 and 14 are favorites of mine, hope they are pleasing to whatever optical arrangement you currently possess i.e. compound eyes, lateral ocelli etc (I don’t judge).
I was going to write an extended and hilarious newspost that would have everyone in stitches but it’s 1:45am and I’m tired so you’ll have to confine yourself to the comic. Sorry. Take care and I will see you next week!
There was a post on twitter the other day with a link to the attack sequence from the movie The Day After. I hadn’t seen it in years but man, for so little in the way of modern special effects that is one powerful scene. I don’t know about anyone else but I always find photos or video of mushroom clouds both weirdly fascinating and soul-crushingly terrifying.
What does this have to do with Kung Fu Meghan you ask? Nothing really. Just thought you might like to know why I’m typing this from my hiding place under the bed (duck and cover). Stay un-irradiated and I’ll see you next week!
Action! Woo!
Forgot to post before going to bed last night so this is a little late. See you next week!
Bit under the weather, no news today, sorry.
Slow news day so here is a picture of my cat.

Ah, Facebook. Shall I compare thee to a summers’ day? An abnormally hot summer day. In Death Valley. With no water. And the car just broke down.
Yes, my hatred love for the FB knows no bounds. I spent the past week wrestling with the new buttons and they still aren’t fully functional so for the moment I’ve abandoned it. It should allow you to link through to the page (please email me if that doesn’t work) but beyond that…well, I just want to get back to drawing. Sorry if anyone is inconvenienced. As always, stay safe and I’ll back with another page next week.
